a great specialty coffee shop!! Their special was a brown sugar latte and I was able to order the same flavor in my cappuccino. the almond croissant was also great and they were able to warm it up. Next time I want to try the burritos that are from frito batidos. It was just me and my friend so we were able to sit in since they have 5 stools. great window to watch the street. a guy also came in a little aggressive asking for us to buy a coffee but the girl working was helpful to dissolve the situation (thank you!)

Was so happy to see a coffee shop open later on a Sunday after the Lions game got out! Needed a midday pick-me-up and Cafe Alto was close by and didn't close until 5. It's beautiful inside, although small, and I ordered an Earl Grey latte. It was exactly what I needed. The barista was friendly as well.

came in for an espresso based drink - asked for a flat white, eventhough it wasnt on the menu, the barista was fantastic, able to take my order while she made an espresso for another client. not a spot to sit and drink though, just grab and go. love simplistic menus like this place

With Cafe Alto as my go-to local coffee spot, I've had the pleasure to work my way through much of their menu. Their seasonal drinks are phenomenal, with the brown sugar sage and orange caramel flavors being some of my favorites! I love getting these in a latte or cappuccino. Can't wait to try their new Garden Party drink! I also love the various pastries they serve, the Iggy's breakfast burrito and zucchini Parmesan quiche are some of my favorite. The weekend pop up's featuring other local restaurants are so fun - recently enjoyed the Khana Detroit tacos and gulab jamun pancakes. Also shoutout to the amazing baristas here, they are the best!!

Cafe Alto is one of our favorite chai latte spots in Detroit! I choose a double shot of espresso to add into mine, and it was just what I needed for that morning pick me up! It was so delicious we went back the next day. Café alto is located on Woodward between Bakersfield & Grey Ghost in Midtown. It's right on the corner. There's an outside ordering and pick up window if that's your thing. I'm gonna make sure to grab a coffee the next time. I'm sure it's just as amazing as their chai! Stop into Cafe Alto and try their deliciousness!

Cafe Alto is a quaint and adorable little coffee shop just steps from Bakersfield and Grey Ghost. It has limited seating indoors but has several outdoor table and chair sets that are bright blue and can't be missed. This was my first visit here and wanted to try something outside of my usual vanilla latte so I opted for the chai latte thanks to my barista, Kelly, for her recommendation! She also informed me that all of their syrups are house-made. No boxed chai here! As expected they have a variety of milk alternatives and happily enjoyed my chai latte with oat milk. Looking forward to visiting on the weekend as they have buns from Bunny Bunny Saturday's and Sunday's! P.S. they're dog-approved. What more can you love?

Stumbled across Cafe Alto thanks to Bunny Bunny as they supply their weekend buns & they posted on the 'gram about it! I've been to Grey Ghost a-many times - which is on the same street, but I've never noticed Cafe Alto even though it's been open since Mother's Day. But, it's a small space that's basically the front lobby area of @Properties Detroit. I went for: *Bunny Bunny Curry Beef Bun - a little on the dry side but really nicely filled! Comforting flavors. I'll definitely try some of the other ones next time. * Sparkling Cold Brew Arnold Palmer - it's a monthly special! It's basically lemonade, cold brew and topo chico. Super refreshing and reminded me of Andytown Coffee in San Francisco, CA - which was my first experience with cold brew jazzed up with sparkling water! Alto carries White Wolf Patisserie (!!!!!!! an amazing Japanese bakery in Clawson) pastries as well as vegan donuts from Dooped Donuts!
